RIDING DIRTY
COMING 2018
“What follows is a loosely connected collection of images from the past 4 years or so. Some shots were used commercially. Others were privately commissioned portraits. Some of those portraits turned into commercial work and for others the reverse is true. Given this genre-bending, cross-utilitarian mess, I’ve resigned to creatively sorting this work into the noun sub-classes of People, Places, and Things….That’s right, “Things”. There’s no irony there, folks. I’ve just gotten to the point in rebuilding this website that distinguishing things from non-things is the most I can ask of my brain. It’s actually harder than you’d think.
Anyway, regardless of where they came from or where they ended up, they were all born from love and selected painstakingly for their energy, compositional merits, stories, and most importantly their time tested ability to impart something of the human experience onto the viewer.
